With the increasing frequency and complexity of humanitarian crises in the Philippines, CHLI recognizes the urgent need to invest in the learning and development of staff and volunteers of organizations working in humanitarian contexts.
The Centre fosters partnerships in the country with a range of institutions across the humanitarian sector and beyond. It has developed a wide range of platforms, products and service to help such organizations including organizational learning solutions, creation and customization of new learning materials and digitization of traditional face-to-face or instructor-led learning packages into interactive and self-paced e-Learning modules.
These modules can then be accessed by learners through the HLA’s digital learning platform, Kaya Connect, or may be delivered in blended (i.e. online + face-to-face) formats.
Free Learning Courses on KAYA platform:
- DRRM 101: Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System
- The Nation Needs You: Philippine Volunteer Essentials
- BLAST
Addressing the growing demand for preparedness, response and resilience content, the Centre, in collaboration with partners, is envisioned to enable people and organizations in the Philippines and Southeast Asia to prepare for and respond to crises in their own communities and institutions.
