CODE-NGO previously released a statement regarding the DILG MC 2021-12. An amended version of the MC is to be released in the future.

CODE-NGO has always been an advocate for People’s Participation and protecting Civic Space. Last April 2014, we released a publication titled “People Power Governance: Local Mechanisms for Participation and Accountability” which contains case studies of Naga City People’s Council and the Citizens’ Query in Bingawan, Iloilo, highlighting the experience, challenges, and key factors in sustaining and replicating the best practices of people’s participation and good governance in local governments.
