PBSP’s 42nd Foundation Day Celebration: Are we Ready for Inclusive Growth?
The Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) has been motivating the Philippine business community to integrate CSR into their core operations and advocating the application of core business strategies in addressing poverty. The promotion and development of inclusive business models for Health, Education, Environment, and Livelihood and Enterprise Development (HEEL) are PBSP’s core program agenda.
Now on its 42nd year, PBSP is continuously observing trends in overseas development assistance (ODA) through different multilateral agencies, which are looking for partnerships with local organizations to manage their significant social investments.
Looking forward, PBSP’s reorganized structure, presented during its Annual Membership Meeting in Dusit Thani Hotel last January 22, 2013, aims to focus on building-up and strengthening multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaboration through the HEEL PlaCEs (Platforms for Collective Engagements) in achieving broader, deeper, and more sustainable collective impact and inclusive growth. Supportive of the collective agenda, PBSP is intensifying business sector engagement in poverty reduction by leveraging collective philanthropy for multilateral funding; and building awareness and adoption of the inclusive business models and strategies into the core business practices of companies.
The revitalized PBSP is positioned to be “the partner of choice” by donors and businesses for social development, corporate citizenship and inclusive business initiatives.
PBSP re-elected 7 members of its Board of Trustees and inducted 9 new member companies.
