Laying the Groundwork for the Next 5 Years

In preparing for its 2013-17 Strategic Plan, the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO) embarked on a 12-month planning process that started with the assessment of its 2007-11 accomplishments last October 2011, followed by a stakeholders survey from November 2011 to February 2012. This planning process will culminate at the presentation of the 5-year Strategic Plan (2013-17) during its 5th National Congress in November 2012.

The second phase of the planning process was a workshop of the Board of Trustees and Member Network Coordinators and Executive Directors conducted last February 22-23, 2012 in Baguio City. Facilitated by Carn Abella of the Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation and the Association of Foundations, the workshop was intended to validate the assessment of CODE-NGO’s current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; to determine its direction, thrusts, and goals for the next 5 years; and to agree on major strategies to effectively pursue its 2013-17 Strategic Plan.
