The Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO) is one of the civil society coalitions and networks globally who successfully participated in the 90 Day Accountability Challenge organized by AGNA and CIVICUS. The challenge required the participating CSO networks and coalitions to reflect on their accountability practices and policies within their respective organizations.  Part of the challenge, CODE-NGO underwent with the self-assessment exercise through the Rendir App, which contains questionnaires based on the Global Standard for CSO Accountability’s 12 commitments. CODE-NGO received good results in terms of processes and practices aligned with the 12 commitments of Global Standard for CSO accountability. The 90-day implementation plan was then developed and implemented to ensure accountability of CODE-NGO amidst the pandemic.

Our Board of Trustees meets regularly via Zoom to strategically discuss our coping mechanism as a network and to restrategize our approaches to continue pursuing our mission and programs amidst the crisis”, according to Mhafe Del Mundo (Membership Officer, CODE-NGO) during the Online Global Accountability Week on October 12 – 16, 2020.

Although the challenge was recently concluded, CODE-NGO continues its commitment of promoting accountability practices on informing, responding and engaging staff, members and partners on the decision making processes at these challenging times.
