Four new handwashing facilities are built under the Water Access, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program of Manila Water Foundation. Manila Water Foundation and its partners turned over the new handwashing facilities to the Pasig City Government last November 25, 2020. The facilities were installed at high-foot traffic areas in the Rescue Emergency Disaster (RED) Training Center, Pasig City Mega Market, and Manggahan Super Health Center.

This project is supported by the Department of Health (DOH), Pasig City Government and Manila Water through its Pasig Business Area.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto reminds everyone that WASH is bigger than just general hygiene. “Hindi lang ito tungkol sa handwashing facility—tungkol din ito sa pagpapaalala sa mga mamamayan ng Pasig na kailangan lagi nating obserbahan ang mga health protocol kagaya ng paghuhugas ng mga kamay (This isn’t about the handwashing facility itself—this is also a reminder to the citizens of Pasig that we always need to observe health protocols such as proper handwashing).”
