The Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO) attended several activities in Tacloban, Leyte in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Super Typhoon Yolanda.

On November 6, CODE-NGO joined a tree-planting and solidarity event at the Pope Francis Village, one of the biggest CSO-led resettlement projects in the city.

The next day, the coalition’s representatives took part in the launching of the Enhancing Resilient Communities (ERC) Flagship Initiative, a program of the United Nations Emergency Relief Coordinator and now spearheaded by the UN Humanitarian Country Team, with the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Office (UN OCHA) serving as its secretariat.

CODE-NGO also met with the Eastern Visayas Network of NGOs (EVNet) and other CSO partners to discuss various opportunities for collaboration in the areas of disaster risk reduction and management and climate action.

Representing the coalition were Deputy Executive Director Anna Abalahin and Program Officer for Advocacy Bryan Ezra Gonzales.
