National Linkages

CODE-NGO is actively involved in various national advocacies towards strengthening democratic institutions, addressing poverty and promoting NGO governance.  CODE-NGO is:

  
 

Co-convenor of the United Nations Civil Society Advisory Committee (UN CSAC) in the Philippines. UN CSAC is composed of 15 NGOs and networks which provides feedback to and partners with the UN Country Team on selected advocacies in line with the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF). It also works with the broader UN Civil Society Advisory Assembly (UN CSA) in the following priority areas: human rights, reproductive health, resources for basic social services, mining concerns and participatory governance.  Know more about UNCSAC.

 

  
 

 

Lead convenor of the Philippine-Japan NGO Partnership (PJP), a network that promotes better relations between Philippine and Japanese NGOs and advocates for reforms in Japanese official development assistance (ODA). PJP discusses and approves papers on ODA reforms and on recommendations on Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP), and dialogues with officials of the Embassy of Japan.

 

  
 Member of the Coalition Against Corruption (CAC), an alliance of the business sector, civil society organizations, and the Church that fights corruption.  Its mission is to implement and support counter-corruption projects in the area of procurement and delivery of essential public services.

Member of the Transparency and Accountability Network (TAN), a growing coalition of multi-sectoral organizations, which seeks to contribute significantly to the reduction of corruption in the Philippines.  It catalyzes and advances a comprehensive and multi-sectoral transparency and accountability strategy founded on the prevention and prosecution of corruption, and the promotion of a corruption-intolerant society.
