Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP)

The Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) is a corporate-led foundation that promotes commitment of the business sectors to social development.  It was created by the country’s 50 prominent business leaders.  PBSP now consists of more than 240 member-companies committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Since its inception in December 1970, it has now extended Php 7 billion in financial assistance to 4.5 million beneficiaries in 65 provinces, funding more than 6,200 projects and partnering with more than 3,300 organizations. The Foundation aims to improve the lives of poverty groups and underprivileged sectors including the landless farmers, marginalized fisherfolks, rural workers, urban poor, and indigenous cultural minorities.
